Use Case - From Scanning to Business Intelligence
For a law firm with thousands of case files containing hundreds of highly variable form types, KYOS installed its system to identify, classify, and automatically file each scanned document. Paper documents had been accumulating for years and were being stored in basement boxes. Not only was the firm spending multiple hours each week just looking for, photocopying, and faxing requested documents, but so much effort was needed just to find boxes and folders that the firm never took advantage of the information in those files.

KYOS TransFORM™ accomplished three important things for our client. First, we cut costs for storage, search, and handling by enabling in-house scanning on demand and identifying, assembling, and filing documents automatically. Our intuitive scanning software made staff training a breeze; employees were up and running in under an hour with no need for document prep. Files and records are scanned on completion with a push of a button and made instantly available. This made it possible for the firm to eliminate its filing backlog and easily stay current with incoming paper. Second, by automatically finding and smart tagging each field within a form, records and record data are easily found, aggregated, analyzed, and used. Third, through selective targeting of high value fields within high value pages within the records, KYOS delivered the ability for the business to see trends and patterns within their business activities.
